At its heart, this story is a crime/mystery narrative featuring a bounty hunter named Summer Rain who can bend shadow to her will and use it as a weapon. Book 1 is the first in an ongoing series which focuses on Summer's most important and dangerous case, a job that will cause her to call into question her familial origins and the very nature of her gift as a shadowmancer.
