Drummer Boy - Paperback
Drummer Boy - Paperback
by Raoul Cauvin (Author), Willy Lambil (Artist)
The hilarious adventures of a pair of unlikely friends across the bloody fields of the American Civil War. The 19th volume of a humorous series that does not shy from the horror and absurdity of war.
After yet another bloody battle, the Union Army organises a recruiting drive during which Blutch attempts to dissuade an obviously too young boy from signing up. To no avail, though, and before long the kid, Pucky, joins them as ... a drummer boy! While Chesterfield is tasked with looking after him, Pucky begins to practice his drumming - much to the displeasure of the troops, who are eager to get some rest before the major engagement looming on the horizon.Author Biography
The Belgian-born author Raoul Cauvin was a prolific author and, at the time of his death in 2021, was still writing several series at the same time. In 2006 alone, he had six entries on the bestselling new comics list in France, including Cedric - also published in English by Cinebook - and The Bluecoats.
Born in Belgium, Lambil published his first comic, Sandy, in 1959. He has drawn 60 volumes of The Bluecoats since taking over from Salvérius, the series' original illustrator, who died in 1972.
